Destination Loch Ness (DLN) is a private sector led organisation committed to developing Loch Ness into a globally iconic destination. Made up entirely of local businesses and led by a group of directors representing some of the largest businesses in the Loch Ness area, DLN was project managed by View Marketing during its inception.
As part of the strategic plan developed by the Stevens View Partnership a plan was launched to bid for World Heritage Status in 2007 raising awareness of the heritage value of the area, a bid View managed together with planning and implementation of a marketing and PR campaign with the primary aim of repositioning the area as a quality short breaks destination relevant for future marketing.
View has also managed the development of marketing collateral including business tourism information, a promotional visitor leaflet and the website www.visitlochness.com, which currently attracts 20,000 unique visitors per month.
