Kitzbühel, a medieval city in the Tyrol has an established reputation as an upmarket winter sports destination, boasting winter occupancy rates of over 80%. However, visitor numbers drop significantly during the summer months despite the huge potential of the summer product with a fantastic range of accommodation, outdoor activities and quality golf courses.
In 2008, Kitzbühel Tourism employed View to promote their golf tourism product, specifically tasking the team with raising awareness to the UK and Ireland market, building new press and media contacts, and liaising with trade contacts to establish and showcase Kitzbühel as a premier golfing destination.
Designed in line with Kitzbühel Tourism’s overall marketing strategy, View created a tactical marketing campaign comprising targeted activities including direct mail and press and familiarisation trips. The campaign generated considerable media activity including web profiles and significant coverage within relevant target publications.
As a result view are expanding client business in Kitzbühel and Tyrolean Tourism to create a strong strategic and tactical UK marketing campaign.
